Mount Saint Mary College Athletics

Freshman pitcher/designated player Cindy Connoly went 2-1 while allowing just three earned runs in 21.1 innings pitched in the Skyline Conference Championship. She yielded one earned run and struck out nine on April 24 in the Knights' 3-2 win over The Sage Colleges. Connoly surrendered just two hits and fanned six on April 25 as the Knights posted a 3-1 victory against Sage in the elimination game. She struck out nine in a 1-0 loss to Farmingdale State on April 26 and also hit safely in all four of the Knights' contests in the Championship. Connoly finished the year leading the conference in ERA (1.57), wins (10), strikeouts (122) and opposing batting average (.209).
 
The Knights' season ends with a runner-up finish in the Skyline Conference Championships. The Knights made their furthest postseason run since they finished as Skyline runners-up back in 2005. They finish the season 19-11 overall, pushing head coach Jessica Mushel's two-year record to 39-25. They also tied the program's record for most Skyline wins in a season with 12.
