Freshman pitcher Cindy Connoly had a spectacular week as the Knights went 4-6 down in Fort Myers, Fla., for the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic. Connoly made two starts and six appearances, tallying a 2-3 record for the week. She finished the trip with a 1.19 ERA and 44 strikeouts across 30.1 innings. Opposing batters hit just .200 against her, and she allowed just 22 hits in 110 at bats. Against Clark University on March 4, Connoly struck out 17 batters in a complete-game victory.
The Knights are scheduled to next play on Wednesday, March 18, in their home-opening doubleheader against Hunter College. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 3 p.m.
