Junior pitcher Ryan Turton made a spectacular start in his only appearance during the Knights' six-game trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C. for the Ripken Experience. Turton drew the start against Johnson & Wales University on Wednesday, March 4, tossing eight scoreless inning to earn the Knights' first win of the season. He allowed just six hits and struck out one to improve to 1-0 on the year. Turton had a 2.33 ERA in 2014 and had a 2-2 record last season.
With the Knights' scheduled game against Rutgers University-Newark on Tuesday being postponed, they will next play on Saturday, March 14, in a road doubleheader at Muhlenberg College, depending on field conditions. The first game is set to begin at 12:30 p.m.
