Freshman forward Jessica Rini registered a pair of double-doubles across three games this past week, as the Knights went 1-2. She tallied 10 points and 13 rebounds in Wednesday's loss to the College of Mount Saint Vincent. She scored 12 points and grabbed 11 boards in Saturday's 64-60 victory over SUNY College at Old Westbury, also adding a pair of blocks. She is now averaging 8.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per game on the season.
With control of their own destiny now in their hands, the Knights have just two Skyline matchups remaining, needing to win just one to clinch a spot in the Skyline Conference Championship tournament. They can also get in with one more loss by each of Old Westbury and St. Joseph's College (L.I.). The Knights have the first of their final two Skyline games on Tuesday, Feb. 17, when they travel to Troy, N.Y. for a matchup with second-place Sage Colleges. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
