Freshman Ryan Ward, who earned one All-Skyline First Team spot and four Second Team positions at the Skyline Conference Championship meet, was named the 2015 Skyline Conference Men's Swimming Rookie of the Year. Ward's big win came in the 500-yard freestyle, in which he swam a time of 5:11.75 to beat the next closest swimmer by almost eight seconds. He placed second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.06, and then took the runner-up spot in the 100-yard freestyle at 50.51, missing first by 0.09. He was also a part of two relay teams that earned second-place finishes.
The Knights now move forward with their preparation for the Metropolitan Conference Championships. The three-day event is hosted at Rutgers University and will kick off on Friday, Feb. 20.
