Junior Lauren Becerra was named the Skyline Conference Women's Most Outstanding Swimmer for an unprecedented third time after another incredible showing at the Skyline Conference Championship meet this past weekend, in which the Knights successfully defended their conference title to win their fourth straight championship. She claimed gold while shattering Skyline records in the 200-yard freestyle (2:03.61), 1,000-yard freestyle (11:12.68) and 500-yard freestyle (5:26.89) events. She also swam the anchor leg on the Knights' record-setting 400-yard freestyle relay (3:51.29), while MSMC opened the Championship on Friday evening with a meet-record time of 1:55.73 in the 200-yard medley relay.

The Knights now move forward with their preparation for the Metropolitan Conference Championships. The three-day event is hosted at Rutgers University and will kick off on Friday, Feb. 20.
