Freshman Marissa Catania was impressive in a 1-1 weekend for the Knights. She won the 200-yard breaststroke (2:38) and helped the Knight 200-yard medley relay and 200-yard freestyle relay teams to second-place finishes in each event in Friday's 101-100 loss at Marywood University. She won both the 50-yard and 100-yard breaststroke events in Saturday's 206-54 victory over Elms College with times of 35.87 and 1:13.19, respectively. She also swam the first leg of the 200-yard medley relay, which the Knights won, and helped them to a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
The Knights will next compete at St. Joseph's College (L.I.) on Saturday, Jan. 17, beginning at 1 p.m. The women's team will partake in a double-dual meet against St. Joe's and the College of Mount Saint Vincent, while the men's team will face off with Mount Saint Vincent in a neutral-site dual meet.
