Sophomore forward Alex Smith turned in a solid week as the Knights went 0-3. He led the team by averaging 11.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game this past week. He also shot 56 percent from the field and made all five of his free throw attempts. His best performance came in Wednesday night's loss to Yeshiva, when he scored 15 points, pulled down seven rebounds and led the Knights with five assists. He is averaging 7.0 points and 5.5 rebounds in six games played so far this season.
The Knights return home for their final game of the 2014 calendar year on Tuesday, Dec. 16, when they host Marywood University at the Kaplan Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. They will next play after that on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, against SUNY Canton at the Kaplan Center as part of a doubleheader with the women's team.
