Junior Lauren Becerra turned in another spectactular week for the Knights, picking up four individual wins and two relay wins in a 2-0 weekend for the women's swimming team. She contributed to three event wins for the Knights in Friday's win over Maritime College, winning the 100-yard IM (1:07.50) and 100-yard backstroke (1:09.99), and swimming the third leg in the 200-yard freestyle relay (27.44; 1:49.00), in which the Knights came out on top. She added two wins in Saturday's victory over William Paterson University, touching first in the 200-yard freestyle (2:07.24) and the 100-yard freestyle (58.73). She also swam the anchor leg of the 400-yard freestyle relay (28.90; 1:01.08), which also picked up a win with a time of 4:03.62 to close out the day.
The Knights have finished the 2014 portion of their winter schedule. They will next swim at Marywood University on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 at 5 p.m.
