Junior right side Maribeth Powers had one of her best weeks for the Knights, leading the team with 24 kills in 11 sets (2.18 kills/set), and hit .297, as the Knights went 3-0. She had 10 kills and added four digs in the Knights' 3-1 win over Bard College on Tuesday. She added another 10 kills in the Knights' thrilling 3-2 victory over Farmingdale State College. She had four kills and a dig in two sets against Sarah Lawrence College on Saturday, as the Knights won, 3-0. She is averaging 1.34 kills per set and is hitting .166 on the season.
The Knights next play on Wednesday, Oct. 22, when they host Yeshiva University for a Skyline Conference matchup at the Kaplan Center. It will also be the women's volleyball team's Colleges Against Cancer match, in which they will be raising money for breast cancer awareness. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
