Sophomore pitcher Victoria Goldbach tossed a perfect game against Lehman College on Tuesday as part of a 2-1 week that saw her record a 0.75 ERA and throw 20 strikeouts in 18.2 innings. She did not allow a baserunner and struck out nine batters in a five-inning perfect game on Tuesday. The Knights defeated Lehman, 17-0, in that game. She started game two that afternoon as well, going the first two innings and allowing one hit while striking out four more batters. She tossed 4.2 innings in relief on Thursday in game two against Ramapo College, suffering the loss despite allowing just one unearned run in extra innings. She picked up a complete-game victory against St. Joseph's College (L.I.) on Saturday, striking out four batters and allowing just two runs. She now has a 2.30 ERA on the season and has struck out 89 batters.
The Knights return to action on Wednesday, April 16, when they take on The Sage Colleges in their final Skyline doubleheader of the regular season. Wednesday's doubleheader will begin at 3:30 p.m. at Robison Field in Troy, N.Y.
