Mount Saint Mary College Athletics

Freshman first baseman Michelle Surdan batted .500 and slugged .857 in a 4-0 weekend for the Knights. She totaled seven hits in 14 at bats, including two doubles and her first collegiate home run. She knocked in eight runs this week and scored five times herself. She also stole a base and walked twice. She hit 2-for-3 in game one of Saturday's doubleheader against Farmingdale, picking up two RBI and a run scored. She went 2-for-2 in Sunday's opener against NYU-Poly with her first home run, four RBI and two runs. She currently leads the Knights with a .500 batting average on the season.
