Sophomore Victoria Goldbach had a spectacular week for the Knights at the plate and in the circle in a 4-4 spring break trip. She hit .467 in five appearances with seven runs scored and six RBI. She also made three starts and a relief appearance during the week. Her ERA stands a 1.09. She struck out 24 batters in 19.1 innings. She went the complete seven innings on Monday against Minnesota-Morris, allowing just one hit and striking out 11 in the complete-game shutout. She suffered a hard-luck loss against St. Joseph's College of Maine on Thursday, allowing just two earned runs and striking out five in seven innings of work. She tossed the complete five innings in the Knights blowout victory over Eastern Nazarene on Friday, allowing just three hits and striking out eight. She went 2-1 for the week and was one of the Knights best hitters when in the lineup.
The Knights' are scheduled to play next on Wednesday, March 19, when they host Hunter College for a home doubleheader. Depending on field conditions, first pitch for the opener is slated for 3:30 p.m.
