Senior guard Donte Howell put in an excellent effort in the Knights' Skyline Conference Championship tournament run. He averaged 19.5 points, 6.0 assists and 5.5 rebounds for the Knights' who fell to No. 19 and top-seeded Purchase in the Skyline Finals Saturday evening. He scored 21 points, dished out eight assists and grabbed seven rebounds on Saturday, as the Knights fell, 100-82, to Purchase. He scored 18 points, pulled down four boards and handed out four assists in the Knights' 95-75 victory Thursday evening over Farmingdale State College in the conference semifinals. He currently leads the Knights with 14.1 points and 4.8 assists per game.
The NCAA and ECAC Tournament selections will be made on later today (March 3). The Knights' season will likely continue with an appearance in one of the postseason tournaments. The NCAA Tournament selection show will air on NCAA.com at 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
