Mount Saint Mary College Athletics

Sophomore midfielder Michael Ennis scored the first two goals of Saturday's Skyline Conference Championship Quarterfinal matchup to lead the Knights past St. Joseph's College (L.I.), 7-1, and into to the conference semifinals. Ennis opened the game's scoring at the 11:04 mark off a cross from senior midfielder Brandon Mincher. He followed that up in the 34th minute after picking up a ball that was deflected away by a defender and sending it home for what eventually proved to be the game winner. His four-point effort tied a season high and boosts his season total to 24 points with 10 goals.

With Saturday's win, the Knights advance in the Skyline Conference Championships and will travel to Purchase for a semifinal-round matchup with the second-seeded Panthers on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
