NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Senior Forward Matt Monaco of the men's basketball team and freshman guard Reese Mayer of the women's basketball team have been named this week's Knights of the Week.
 
Monaco has been a huge asset off the bench for the Knights this season, and recorded career-bests in nearly every statistical category against Russell Sage this past week. He had 10 points on 5-6 from the field, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals in 25 minutes against the Gators. Monaco also added 6 points and 2 rebounds at Amherst College, as he is shooting a team-high 62.1% from the field so far this year. 

Mayer has started in every game this season and had her best week as a Knight last week. The freshman point guard leads the Skyline in assists per game and is third in assist/turnover ratio. In a win over Old Westbury, Mayer recorded a season-best 8 points on 4-4 shooting, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds in 14 minutes. She surpassed her season-high in points the following game in a 72-68 win over Vassar College, where Mayer scored 10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals in 38 minutes.
