Teammates with fellow 2019 Hall of Fame inductee Tara McDermott, Jacquelyn Mancini helped set the standard for the Mount Saint Mary College Women's Soccer program and in the process became the most prolific goalkeeper in program history.

Mancini helped anchor a team that went unscored upon in Skyline Conference play twice and posted three straight unblemished conference campaigns. Over her four years, the Mount finished with a stellar 64-24-2 overall record, including a 30-4 mark against Skyline Conference rivals. Over the course of Jacquelyn's career, the Knights made four straight trips to the Skyline Conference Championship game and a trio of appearances in the ECAC Semifinal Round.

Individually, Jacquelyn became the most decorated goalkeeper in program history. She set the program's single season record for shutouts with 10 in 2011 and later set the career record in the category as a senior. The two marks stood until 2015 and 2017, but Jacquelyn still maintains the career record foal goals against average at 0.65 and the single season mark for goals against average of 0.56 set in 2011. Over a four-year career with the Knights, Jacquelyn was named First Team All-Skyline Conference in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Among her most memorable moments as a Knight, Jacquelyn counts the team's trip to Italy in 2011. The team got to experience another culture and took on three local Italian teams, going unbeaten on the trip.

"A couple of proud moments of mine were the two seasons our team went undefeated and unscored upon in conference. What I am most proud of during these seasons was our dedication as a team. We worked hard, pushed each other, and supported one another on and off the field," states Mancini.

Upon graduation from the Mount, Jacquelyn pursued her Master's degree in Sports Science and Physical Education at Hofstra. Jacquelyn worked as a Sports Performance Coach and continued to play soccer for two years after graduation.

Currently, Jacquelyn works as a High School Physical Education teacher and coaches High School soccer. She is pursuing an additional teaching certification in Health Education while enjoying being active, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

"The opportunity to be a student-athlete provided me with many life lessons that I continue to take with me. Being a student-athlete allowed me to develop communication, leadership and teamwork skills. It taught me the importance of hard work and commitment, as well as, how to manage adversity and persevere through it. I also made life-long friends, who I continue to see regularly and often reminisce about our time at the Mount."

"I am grateful for these lessons as they have translated into my life post college. When I began working, I comfortably took on new challenges, communicated effectively and collaborated positively with coworkers. Additionally, as a high school soccer coach I utilize what I have learned to inspire my own student-athletes. I credit much of coaching philosophy from playing for Coach Frank Martini at the Mount. Coach Martini was always dedicated and committed to helping us succeed as a team, as well as, succeed as individuals in everyday life. Now, I stress the importance of what it means to be a part of a team, push my players to see their full potential and encourage them to give 100% in anything they take on; both on and off the field. I wholeheartedly attribute my ability to do so from my own time as a student-athlete."
